So I’m pretty much superrrrr pissed right now. My moms friend that lives in Gulf Shores, AL called and said that it’s fucked. And for years if you breathe in the oil then you’re going to have problems later in life. So many animals are going to die and be lost because of this shit.
I hope those people fucking suffer who organized and helped destroy all of this.
And which people are those? If you are talking about those that created the demand for oil-based products, then we are talking about you. If you drive a car, buy products containing plastic, use makeup, or turn on the lights and expect electricity, you are creating the demand for petroleum products. This is a tragedy, to be sure. But don’t try to round up some specific set of people that are responsible when in fact it is all of us that need to take responsibility.
Wasn’t trying to start a lame argument. I mainly feel bad because of the animals and how it’s destroying everything. And I am trying to take responsibility because I’m most likely going down there in a week or two to help out and rescue animals. SOOOOOO.
That’s wonderful, but that’s not what you said. What you said was a thoughtless, mean-spirited, knee-jerk reaction: “I hope those people fucking suffer who organized and helped destroy all of this.” Lashing out at unnamed people and wishing them harm is naive at best, and destructive at worst.
Well, did I organize and produce the company to gather these oils and fuck it all up? No I did not. You’re not seeing my point. Done arguing with you.
Indirectly, you did. You love and use what these companies produce, and would probably die without them. You personally consume gallons of petroleum based products every day, and it is the height of hypocrisy to rant against the very people that are supplying your addiction. As for starting an argument on Tumblr… seeing someone advocate the suffering of others, and speaking out in response to such an egregious statement is not only within my rights, morality demands it.
